What do I get for my purchase?
Please note that I offer digital files for embroidery machines so you must have an embroidery machine to use these products.
Once your payment has cleared, a ZIP file containing nine popular embroidery formats will be available for downloading. You will also be able to download a PDF file with a color change sheet.
What embroidery formats are available?
There are nine formats: DST, EXP, HUS, JEF, PCS, PES, SEW, VP3 and XXX. All of them are included in the one ZIP file. Please contact me if you need a different embroidery format.
Where can I use RunStitch designs?
You may use the design files to create and decorate any item, whether it be for personal use, a donation to charity or a gift. However, you must not sell items that are embroidered with RunStitch designs. If you want to do so, please contact me.
The design files themselves must not be sold, shared, or distributed in any manner. You may resize or change my designs in any way, but the edited design files cannot be distributed, shared or sold, as they remain my property.
Who creates all the RunStitch designs?
All the designs that you see at the RunStitch shop are drawn and then digitized by myself.
Can I order any custom digitizing?
Currently, I don’t do any custom digitizing. However, if you have any ideas for new designs and collections, then please let me know.
Do you provide refunds if a design has been downloaded by mistake?
Due to the nature of digital downloads, no refunds can be offered once you have downloaded the file. If you experience any problems with my designs or have any questions, please contact me.
How do you ensure the quality of the designs?
All RunStitch designs have been tested and reviewed to ensure top quality. I provide a high-resolution photo for each of the embroidered designs so you can study them closely and see every stitch.
To achieve the best results, I recommend doing a test embroidery before stitching a design on a final item. This way you can choose the best combination of fabric and stabilizer as well as upper thread tension.
What size of design should I choose?
The design size should always be smaller than your machine’s embroidery area, otherwise your machine won’t read them and won’t be able to stitch them. I usually add the appropriate hoop size to the title of my products (for example, 4×4” means that the design will work on a machine with a 4×4” or larger embroidery area). You can also find the measurements of each design in the design description.
It is best to avoid resizing designs as it generally results in a loss of quality.
What is the color change sheet for?
When you open the designs on your computer or embroidery machine, the colors may be different from the samples that are shown at the RunStitch shop. Please ignore these colors and use the color change sheets I provide for each of my designs. There you can find information about the designs, list of color/thread changes, patterns for applique designs etc.
If you want to print the specification file, please make sure you choose the Photo Print mode for your printer and select any photo paper type (matte/gloss) in the Print Dialogue Box – even if you are using standard paper. In this case, you will get the most precise colors on the paper compared to the original ones.
