I’m so excited to show some of vector sketches that I made earlier for my new Emoji Smile Applique Collection as well as the finished collection itself.

Here are the initial vector sketches that I made to simplify digitizing.

Here is how the digitized collection looks on my screen. I included 9 applique designs, leaving the guy sticking out his tongue behind. I’ve changed them a bit, positioning the faces inside the circles more accurately. Also, I decided that tears and heart-shaped eyes don’t need a black outline around them. Don’t forget, it is applique designs and once stitched out, the faces should have some color on them.

I decided to use yellow applique fabric to give my samples a “classic” appearance. However, they look great in a variety of other colors, all you need is to choose a matching thread for a border of the face.
