Happy New Year!
Happy New Year my dear crafters, quilters, embroiderers, artists and all creative people!
2018 was challenging year for me but still greatly satisfying.
First, I was pretty much afraid of the RunStitch project. You see, I’m an artist and digitizer and it is my dream to create beautiful things and share them with creative people. That is what I do and what I love. But the shop requires so much more: you must try many hats to run the small business and blog. One needs to be not only an artist and digitizer, but also a photographer, writer, manager, and so on.
Therefore, I have to be organised in order to be efficient – that’s the thing I struggle the most. Luckily, I found a great management system – GTD by David Allen that helps me to be more organised and efficient. I’m still learning, but now I can see my goals more clearly, and I have better understanding how to accomplish my tasks. I think it is pretty good already. I’ve made a plan for the entire year of 2019 and going to follow it.
It is a good idea to write down all the good stuff that happened to you during the year. So here are some good things I’m grateful for:
- Another wonderful year with my great, understanding and patient husband
- Moving to beautiful Slovenia
- Inspiring trip to France to European Patchwork Meeting
- European trips (several new countries I haven’t been before)
- Trips to Croatia
- Learning a lot
- Creating a RunStitch webpage and blog
- Visiting old beloved friends
- Meeting new fascinating people
- Finding good yoga classes
- Starting a small garden in our living room
- Having my new studio nice and cosy
Here are some photos of our home and my studio:
That’s it for today. Have nice holidays and snowy winter!
Love, Jo
