Marti Michel is a celebrated author of many books on patchwork and quilting, designer and very talented teacher.

She spent a lifetime adoring and creating log cabin quilts and to this passion she dedicated her exhibition at European Patchwork Meeting 2019 in France.

Her first quilt Marti made in 1969 and it was a log cabin quilt. It’s been exactly half a century since her quilting adventure has begun.

It was so nice to see up close the quilts that one is familiar with from her YouTube videos and Pinterest.

This white basket quilt appears in many of Marti Michell’s videos as a background.

The exhibition also includes a few of Marti’s favorite antique log cabin quilts.
