My new sketches and quilt blocks
Hi there!
Unfortunately, my weekend was not as productive as I hoped it to be. I’ve got sick and had a fever. But anyway I’ve done quite a few sketches and sew some quilt blocks. Come and take a look!
Here are some sketches for my future spring embroidery collection:
Love these cute little animals! The pig is my favourite.
Here are some of quilt blocks that I’m going to digitise this week:
I want to make a mini guilt with some of the blocks this weekend.
And here are some blocks that I already digitised and pieced in the hoop. They have 11 pieces each and I can’t even imagine how long it would take me to sew them using traditional paper piecing method. I finished all four of them (and a cup of cocoa with a pack of cookies) in under an hour.
I used some scraps from my stash, all of them are second hand. I love that I can give a new life to old fabrics and make some fun projects. This way I enjoy doing what I love, recycle some things that may as well be thrown away or forgotten, and have a beautiful piece in the end. The blocks look nice and they’ll make a lovely vintage-looking mini quilt or pillow later.
That’s it for today!
Take care of yourself and be creative!
Yours truly,
Jo
