My new beautiful Boundless fabrics
Hi there!
As I promised in my previous post, I will show and review some of my Christmas presents. So let’s get started!
This is the Boundless Collage Fat Quarter Box from Craftsy. I saw some of those fabrics on a Puzzle Collage Café Spice quilt that Angela Walters was making in her Midnight Quilt Show and loved the colors. First, I wanted to order just some packs of 5” Charm Squares but decided that wide range of colors from this collection would be really useful and contribute greatly to building my stash.
It contains 90 fat quarters (18″ x 22″ cuts) of various fabrics from the same collection (the entire collection actually). I ordered this set at a great price on Black Friday well ahead of winter holidays. It costed me about $155 that I consider a bargain (this way each FQ costed me only $1.72 and I have a great variety of fabrics for the price). Also, they had even better offers later in December, and the same set would cost me $40 less. Oh, well… I’m happy anyway. Its original price on Craftsy appears to be little more that $280, however, it seems that the price is never higher than $200.
To be honest, it was my very first purchase on Craftsy and my first Boundless fabrics I ever bought. Naturally, I was a bit nervous about it. But the quality of fabrics is good and I really pleased with this purchase. It’s 100% cotton, tightly woven, very pleasant to touch (and play all day long). These are my faivourite colors from this collection (also i love all of them).
There are big prints, medium and small ones, patterns with florals, waves, some dots (or rather bubbles) and what look like marble texture. Colors and prints are beautiful and elegant. There are no solids, each piece has many shades or tints in it. This set is quite enough to add dimension and interest to quilt blocks and many other projects. I’m looking forward to mixing and matching these fabrics with those from my stash that needed companions to make the projects shine! I think many of these fabrics will work beautifully for aplique as well as frames for embroidery.
Hope this post with many delicious pictures inspires you. That’s it for today. Take care!
Yours truly,
Jo
P.S. I have published all the photos in high resolution so that you could click on them and see the fabrics in more details 😉
